The Atelier

A pattern cut for one body, not a size chart.

We take twenty-eight measurements at the first sitting and draft the pattern by hand from those numbers alone. Nothing is graded from a block. The canvas is horsehair, floating and hand-padded so the jacket moves with you rather than against you.

Our head cutter, Aisling Byrne, trained on Savile Row before returning to Dublin to open the workroom in 1994. She still cuts every pattern that leaves the shop.

The Goods

Small leather runs, cut from the same cloth room.

Offcuts from every bolt of lining and interlining go to our second bench, where a single leatherworker turns them into a short, numbered run of goods. Once a batch sells out, it doesn't return.

  • Attaché briefcase, Horween leather €620
  • Card case, lining offcut interior €95
  • Belt, hand-stitched keeper €165

"Three fittings felt excessive until I put the jacket on. It sits like nothing else I own — and I've owned a lot of jackets."

Questions before your first sitting

How many fittings does a commission take?
Three: a baste fitting once the pattern is cut, a forward fitting once the canvas is set, and a finished fitting for the last adjustments. Most clients complete a suit in 8–10 weeks.
Can I bring my own cloth?
Yes. Bring at least 3.2 metres for a suit or 1.8 for a jacket. We'll inspect it at the first sitting and credit the difference against our house cloth price.
Do you alter garments after collection?
Every commission includes complimentary alterations for 12 months. After that, alterations are billed by the hour; your paper pattern stays on file, so re-cuts are rare.
Is ready-to-wear available?
No — everything leaving the workroom is cut for one client. If you want to feel the cloth and construction first, come by during opening hours; we keep sample jackets on hand to try.
